Federal Lead-Based Paint Disclosures (Built Before 1978) and Pamphlet

Lead-based paint disclosure is a requirement for sellers of residential properties built before 1978 to disclose known information about lead-based paint and lead-based paint hazards in the property to buyers prior to the sale of the property. This disclosure is required by the federal government under the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992. It includes providing the buyer with a lead-based paint disclosure form and any available records or reports on lead-based paint in the property.
