Waterfront Restaurants in Palm Beach County: A Resident's Dock and Dine Guide to the Northern Intracoastal

October 1, 2026 · 8 min read · By Onias Derilus, Broker

Waterfront dining along the northern Intracoastal, from Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens to Palm Beach Shores and Riviera Beach, organized by area and by boat access.

Waterfront restaurants in Palm Beach County line the Intracoastal from the Jupiter Inlet south to the Lake Worth Inlet. For boaters, many of them double as a weekend destination you can reach by water. For buyers, they also say a lot about a neighborhood. If you can walk, drive five minutes or idle over to dinner, that changes how a home feels. This resident's guide groups the best-known northern spots by area and by boat access, and it shows which neighborhoods sit closest to them.

Key takeaways

  • The Jupiter Inlet area has the biggest cluster of waterfront dining, including Guanabanas, Square Grouper, U-Tiki Beach and 1000 North.
  • Waterway Cafe on PGA Boulevard offers more than 150 feet of dock space on a first-come, first-served basis and a floating bar.
  • Sailfish Marina sits in the town of Palm Beach Shores, not Riviera Beach, near the Lake Worth Inlet and Peanut Island.
  • Riviera Beach picked a developer in May 2026 for a $566 million Marina Village plan that includes three waterfront restaurants.
  • Dock space, hours and age rules change, so call ahead before you head out by boat.

How to use this guide

We sorted restaurants into four areas, from north to south. For each one, we note the address, the town it sits in and what we could confirm about boat access. Some places welcome boats at their own docks. Others sit next to a marina where you may need a slip. And a few are better reached by car.

One tip before you go: dock space is often limited at peak times. Tides and boat traffic also matter. So call the restaurant or marina first, especially on a weekend.

Driving works too, of course. Most of these places have parking, though lots near the Jupiter Inlet and on Singer Island fill up on busy evenings. If you live close enough, a short rideshare can save you the hunt for a space.

Jupiter Inlet: the busiest waterfront restaurants in Palm Beach County

The area around the Jupiter Inlet and the mouth of the Loxahatchee River has the largest group of waterfront dining in the north county. Many spots look out at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.

On the river and Love Street

Guanabanas sits at 960 N. Highway A1A in Jupiter, on a finger of the Loxahatchee River. Local surfers opened it as a sandwich shop in 2004, and it grew into a large open-air restaurant under tiki huts and banyan trees. Local guides note a few docks for boats and kayaks. It opens daily at 11:30 a.m. and serves brunch on Sundays.

Square Grouper, at 1111 Love Street in Jupiter, is a tiki bar with live music and lighthouse views. It is home to Castaways Marina, which offers docking for boaters on the Intracoastal. Keep in mind that it is strictly 21 and over, and staff scan IDs at the door.

Along A1A and U.S. 1

Next door along A1A, U-Tiki Beach at 1095 N. Highway A1A is listed by local guides as reachable by boat. Jetty's Waterfront Restaurant, at 1075 N. Highway A1A, sits on the same stretch near the inlet.

At 1000 N. U.S. Highway 1, 1000 North looks across the water at the lighthouse and the inlet. It has four dining areas. The restaurant says it welcomes guests by boat, with docking privileges geared to members of its Club Lounge. So check the dock policy before you plan a boat arrival.

Waterfront restaurants in Palm Beach Gardens and North Palm Beach

South of Jupiter, the Intracoastal runs past North Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens. Here the restaurants sit near the PGA Boulevard bridge and along U.S. 1.

Frigate's sits at 400 U.S. Highway 1 in North Palm Beach. It welcomes guests by boat or by land, with open-air seating. It is open daily from 11 a.m., with later hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

Waterway Cafe, at 2300 PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, calls itself home to Florida's only floating bar. It also offers more than 150 feet of dock space on a first-come, first-served basis. You can even order ahead and pick up food from your boat.

Across PGA Boulevard at number 2373, The River House serves steak, seafood and sushi with Intracoastal views and a tiki bar. It opens at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday, with Sunday brunch.

Singer Island waterfront restaurants in Palm Beach Shores

At the south tip of Singer Island, the town of Palm Beach Shores faces the Lake Worth Inlet. Many people assume these spots are in Riviera Beach, but Palm Beach Shores is its own small town.

Sailfish Marina, at 98 Lake Drive in Palm Beach Shores, has a waterfront restaurant on a working marina. Local charter companies list it as a dock-and-dine stop. Its location near the inlet and Peanut Island makes it a natural stop after a day on the water.

Just down the street, the Buccaneer Waterfront Grill sits at 142 Lake Drive. It is also on charter companies' dock-and-dine lists, though they note that some places need advance dock reservations at busy times.

Riviera Beach Marina Village

Across the water from Palm Beach Shores, the city of Riviera Beach runs Marina Village at 190 E. 13th Street. Today it has an event center, Bicentennial Park with a splash fountain and concerts, a bar and grill and a tiki-style market. Rentals for paddleboards, kayaks and boats operate from the marina, too.

What is planned

Bigger changes are coming. On May 22, 2026, the city council picked Forest Development for a $566 million plan on 12 acres of the waterfront, according to Stet News. The plan includes a hotel, condos, a convention center and three waterfront restaurants. It also commits to relocating the long-time Rafiki Tiki marina restaurant. The first phase targets restaurants and retail in about three years. For buyers, that is a sign of where the city wants its waterfront to go.

A sample day on the water

Here is one way a boater in the north county might spend a Saturday. First, launch at Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter in the morning. Then cruise south on the Intracoastal past North Palm Beach and stop for lunch near the PGA Boulevard bridge, where Waterway Cafe has first-come dock space. After lunch, keep heading south toward the Lake Worth Inlet and Singer Island. Finally, turn back north in time for an early dinner near the Jupiter Inlet.

That loop covers most of the spots in this guide. Still, it is a long day, so many residents pick one area per trip instead.

Living near the restaurants: the trade-offs

A home close to a busy waterfront bar has real perks. You can walk or boat to dinner, and the area feels lively. On the other hand, live music, boat traffic and weekend parking can spill onto nearby streets. So visit at night and on a Saturday before you buy. A street that feels quiet at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday can sound different at 9 p.m. on a Friday.

Which neighborhoods put waterfront restaurants in Palm Beach within reach

If dinner by boat is part of your dream, location matters. In general, homes near the inlets give the fastest boat trips to these restaurants. Homes on the Intracoastal or on canals with no fixed bridges give the most freedom.

  • Tequesta and Jupiter: Closest to the Jupiter Inlet cluster. Many homes sit on the river or canals. Our Tequesta page shows what is for sale.
  • North Palm Beach: Close to Frigate's and the PGA corridor, with a mix of canal homes and condos.
  • Palm Beach Gardens: Near Waterway Cafe and The River House, though many neighborhoods sit inland.
  • Singer Island and Riviera Beach: Near the Lake Worth Inlet, Sailfish Marina and Marina Village.

What homes cost in these towns

According to Pure Equity's MLS data as of October 1, 2026, median list prices of active residential listings were $384,900 in Riviera Beach, $529,900 in North Palm Beach, $700,000 in Tequesta (a small sample of 98 listings), $859,495 in Jupiter and $899,000 in Palm Beach Gardens. These medians mix condos and houses, and waterfront homes with ocean access sit well above them. See current homes on our North Palm Beach page or our Riviera Beach page.
