Where Does Judge Judy Live in Florida? Her Naples Years and the Estate She Sold

September 21, 2026 · 8 min read · By Onias Derilus, Broker

Judge Judy Sheindlin owned homes in Naples, Florida for about two decades, ending with a $9.5 million sale in December 2025. Here is what is reported about the Bay Colony estate she sold, the condo before it, where she lives now, and what a comparable home costs in South Florida.

Where does Judge Judy live? Judy Sheindlin no longer lives in Florida. She and her husband Jerry owned homes in Naples for about 20 years, first a beachfront condo and then a lakefront estate in the Bay Colony Shores section of Pelican Bay. The estate sold for $9.5 million in December 2025, according to Realtor.com and the Naples Daily News. Her main home is now in Greenwich, Connecticut. Here is what public reporting says about the Naples years, the homes, and where she went.

Key takeaways

  • Bay Colony Shores in Naples was her Florida home from 2015 until the sale closed in late December 2025.
  • The estate sold for $9.5 million, about $1 million under the $10.49 million asking price, after a purchase price of $8.6 million.
  • The house has 10,607 square feet, six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and a 74-foot lagoon pool on close to an acre.
  • She still owns a home in Greenwich, Connecticut, and has sold her Newport, Rhode Island estate as well.

Where does Judge Judy live in Florida?

The short answer is that she does not, at least not any more. For two decades the answer was Naples, the Gulf Coast city in Collier County. Naples is on the opposite side of the state from the eight counties Pure Equity serves. We cover it because readers ask, and because the story says a lot about how celebrity homes are bought and sold in Florida.

The Sheindlins arrived in 2005. The Real Deal reported that they bought a condo at the Windsor at Bay Colony, a beachfront tower in Pelican Bay, for $6.9 million that year. Ten years later they moved less than a mile inland to a gated single-family enclave called Bay Colony Shores. Both sit inside Pelican Bay, a large master-planned community in North Naples with its own private beach and tram system.

Pure Equity does not publish private addresses. The community names above are the same ones the press has used.

Inside the reported Naples estate

The house was built for entertaining. Realtor.com described it as 10,607 square feet on nearly an acre, with six bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and two half baths. Inside were black marble floors, a wood-paneled office, a gym and a staircase wrapped in floral wallpaper. Rooms came painted in turquoise, purple and blue, which drew attention when the listing photos went public.

Outside was the bigger draw. The lot fronts a lake and holds a 74-foot lagoon-style pool with three waterfalls, a spa, an outdoor kitchen, a cabana and a gazebo, all under a screen enclosure. Two air-conditioned three-car garages rounded out the listing, a detail that made headlines on its own.

Across outlets the numbers are consistent. Per The Real Deal, the Sheindlins paid $8.6 million in 2015, though one later report gave the year as 2013. It listed in August 2024 at $10.49 million and sold on December 29, 2025 for $9.5 million. Realtor.com also reported that ownership had passed to her son Adam Levy and his wife around 2022, so the family, rather than Judy herself, was the seller of record.

The earlier Naples condo

The Windsor at Bay Colony condo had its own moment in the news. When the couple bought the house in 2015, they listed the beachfront penthouse. Gulf News picked up the listing, which is how a Naples condo ended up in a Dubai newspaper. The Real Deal reported both moves in the same December 2015 story.

That condo is the reason many readers still connect her to the beach rather than the lake. The Windsor is one of the high-rise towers along the Gulf inside Pelican Bay, and the penthouse had direct water views. The estate that replaced it traded the ocean for privacy, land and a pool big enough for a family gathering.

Why Judge Judy chose Naples

She has never given a long interview about the choice, so the reasons come from the record. Naples offered warm winters, no state income tax and a quiet, older crowd that leaves famous neighbors alone. The Sheindlins already split time between New York and Florida when the show was in production, and Naples gave them a base on the Gulf that was a short flight from both coasts.

Family was the other factor. Her son Adam Levy worked as a prosecutor in New York and later took over the Naples house, per Realtor.com. Having a large home with a pool and space for grandchildren fit that stage of life. In September 2026 Deadline reported that she is retiring from television after 30 years on the bench, which may explain why the family consolidated homes.

Where else does Judge Judy live?

Greenwich, Connecticut is home now. She has owned an estate there for many years, and reporting from Hello! Magazine and others treats it as her main residence. She also kept a Manhattan penthouse that she bought for $8.5 million in 2013 and put on the market in 2024, per Realtor.com. Over the years she has been linked to homes in Beverly Hills and Wyoming as well.

The Newport, Rhode Island estate known as the Bird House was the other famous one. Boston Magazine reported that she bought it in 2018 for $9 million, and Newport Buzz later reported it sold for $15.3 million. So in the span of a few years she let go of Newport and Naples and kept Connecticut. That is the pattern of someone simplifying, not moving south.

What a home like hers costs in South Florida

Pure Equity does not sell in Naples, but we can say what the same kind of home costs on our coast. The closest match to Bay Colony Shores is a gated, lakefront estate section inside a club community near the beach. Frenchman's Creek in Palm Beach Gardens and Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club in Boca Raton both fit that description.

Our MLS feed as of September 2026 shows about 760 active listings in Palm Beach Gardens at a median asking price near $900,000. Boca Raton has about 2,100 listings at a median around $550,000. Inside the gated club sections of both cities, a 10,000-square-foot lakefront home like the Naples estate would generally list between $8 million and $15 million. Our gated communities and golf and country club pages sort the current inventory.

For the Gulf side, the county page for Collier County shows current Naples listings from the same MLS feed. Pelican Bay resales in the $9 million to $10 million range are rare, and the Sheindlin sale will serve as a comp for the neighborhood for a while.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Judge Judy live now?

Her main home is in Greenwich, Connecticut. She sold her Naples, Florida estate in December 2025 for $9.5 million and has also sold her Newport, Rhode Island home. A Manhattan penthouse was on the market as of 2024.

Where in Naples does Judge Judy live?

She no longer owns a home there. From 2015 to 2025 the family home was in Bay Colony Shores, a gated enclave inside Pelican Bay in North Naples. Before that the couple owned a condo at the Windsor at Bay Colony on the beach. We do not publish street addresses.

Where does Judge Judy live full time?

Connecticut is the full-time home, based on reporting. Naples was a winter and family base for about 20 years rather than a primary residence. For readers wondering where does Judge Judy live in Florida today, the answer is nowhere; the last Florida property sold in late 2025.

How much did Judge Judy pay for the Naples home?

The Sheindlins paid $8.6 million for the Bay Colony Shores estate, according to The Real Deal, and $6.9 million for the earlier Windsor at Bay Colony condo in 2005. The estate sold for $9.5 million after listing at $10.49 million.

Does Judge Judy still own the Naples home?

No. Realtor.com reported that the estate sold on December 29, 2025. Ownership had already moved to her son Adam Levy and his wife around 2022, so the family sold it rather than Judy herself. The buyer was not named.

Is Naples part of South Florida?

Not in the way most people use the term. Naples is in Collier County on the Gulf Coast, across the Everglades from Miami and Palm Beach. South Florida usually means the Atlantic side: Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Pure Equity serves that side and not Naples.
