Where Does Adriana Lima Live in Florida? Her Indian Creek Years

September 21, 2026 · 8 min read · By Onias Derilus, Broker

Adriana Lima spent more than a decade on Indian Creek, the guarded island village north of Miami Beach. A trust tied to her bought the bayfront house for $9 million in 2009, and she sold it for $40 million in December 2021 to banker Jaime Gilinski. She then lived in Los Angeles, and that house sold in 2026. Here is what reporting says about each home and what the island costs now.

Where does Adriana Lima live? For twelve years the answer was Indian Creek, the 41-home island village in Biscayne Bay just north of Miami Beach. A trust tied to the model paid $9 million for a bayfront house there in 2009, per NBC Miami. She sold it for $40 million in December 2021, per The Real Deal. She then moved her family to Los Angeles, and that house sold in 2026 too. No outlet has reported a current Florida home. Here is what the record shows.

Key takeaways

  • Indian Creek, Miami-Dade County: a bayfront house on nearly two acres, owned from 2009 to 2021.
  • $9 million in 2009, $40 million out in 2021: the buyer was Colombian banker Jaime Gilinski, per The Real Deal.
  • About 6,465 square feet, four bedrooms and four baths, built in 1958 and remodeled inside in 2020.
  • Indian Creek has no active listings in our MLS feed as of September 2026; nearby Bal Harbour lists at a median of about $2.7 million.

Where does Adriana Lima live in Florida?

She does not, as far as reporting shows, at least not since the end of 2021. Her Florida chapter was Indian Creek. The village is a single island with one bridge, a police force of its own, a private golf club in the middle and 41 waterfront lots around the edge. Neighbors over the years have included Carl Icahn, Tom Brady, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg. Reporters call it the Billionaire Bunker, and the name has stuck.

The timing of her ownership matters. When she bought in 2009, the island was quiet and prices had just fallen with the rest of Miami. By the time she sold, the pandemic migration had brought a wave of new buyers from New York and California. Two of the largest residential sales in Florida history closed on Indian Creek in 2021 and 2022. Her exit landed in the middle of that run.

Lima arrived in 2009. NBC Miami reported that year that a trust tied to her had bought a four-bedroom home on the island. She had married NBA player Marko Jaric in early 2009 and the couple made Miami their base. Their two daughters grew up there. After the marriage ended in 2016, she stayed on the island for another five years.

Pure Equity does not publish private addresses. The sale was reported with its lot number, and we leave that out. You can see the village on our Indian Creek page and the surrounding towns on Surfside and Bal Harbour.

Inside the reported Indian Creek estate

The house was modest by island standards. It dates to 1958 and has four bedrooms and four bathrooms in about 6,465 square feet, per The Real Deal. What made it valuable was the land: nearly two acres with frontage on Biscayne Bay. On an island where teardown lots have sold for tens of millions, the house was secondary.

The trust paid $9 million in 2009, per NBC Miami. Records cited by The Real Deal show an interior remodel finished in 2020. The paper reported the sale in January 2022 at $40 million, with the deed recorded in December 2021. In February 2022 The Real Deal named the buyer as Jaime Gilinski, the Colombian banker whose family controls a large share of that country's financial sector.

The math is the story. She held the property for about twelve years and it gained $31 million in value, or more than four times the purchase price. Almost none of that came from the 1958 house. It came from Indian Creek land, which repriced hard between 2019 and 2022 as finance and tech buyers moved to South Florida.

Why Adriana Lima chose Indian Creek

The reported reasons are privacy and family. Lima was at the peak of her Victoria's Secret career in 2009, and Indian Creek offered something Miami Beach did not: a guarded bridge, marine patrols and no through traffic. She told interviewers for years that Miami was home and that she liked raising her daughters away from New York and Los Angeles.

Miami also made sense for a Brazilian. She was born in Salvador, Bahia, and Miami is the closest big American city to Brazil, with direct flights and a large Portuguese-speaking community. Her modeling work ran through New York and Europe, but the fashion calendar leaves long gaps, and Miami is where she spent them.

By 2021 the reasons to sell had lined up too. Her daughters were older, she had a new partner in film producer Andre Lemmers, and Indian Creek prices had never been higher. Selling at $40 million into that market was a clean exit.

Where else does Adriana Lima live?

Los Angeles was next. AOL reported in 2026 that Lima and her family had lived in a Brentwood house for less than four years before it sold for about $12.96 million. It came on the market in August 2025 and closed in 2026. The story described an AI-assisted security system, a sign of how private she keeps her homes.

Where the family went after that sale is not public. Lima and Lemmers had a son in 2022, and she has continued to work in New York and Europe. She has kept a foothold in Brazil as well. So the current answer is honest but incomplete: she left Indian Creek in 2021, left Brentwood in 2026, and has not announced a new base.

What homes near Adriana Lima cost

Indian Creek itself almost never trades. Our MLS feed as of September 2026 shows no active listings on the island, which is normal for a village of 41 homes. When lots do sell, they trade privately or off market, often above $50 million for bayfront acreage. Lima's $40 million sale in 2021 now looks like a middle-of-the-range number for the island.

That also means the island is a poor guide for anyone pricing a home elsewhere in Miami-Dade. Indian Creek values are driven by a few dozen buyers competing for land that never comes up. A bayfront house in Surfside or Bal Harbour trades on a different set of comparables, and those markets have softened since 2022 while the island has not.

The towns across the bridge are the realistic entry point. Surfside shows about 129 active listings at a median list price near $1.1 million, per our feed, with an average of about 188 days on market. Bal Harbour has about 155 listings at a median near $2.7 million and about 202 days on market. Both are condo-heavy, so single-family houses near the water run well above those medians.

If a guarded island is the goal, the gated communities hub lists the alternatives across South Florida, and our waterfront homes page pulls bayfront houses together. The Miami-Dade County page covers the wider market.
