The couple also owns a vacant waterfront lot on the same island, bought from singer Julio Iglesias. This post is about the property and the place, not politics. Here is what public records and reporting say.

Where does Ivanka Trump live in Florida?
Indian Creek is a small village on a man-made island in Biscayne Bay. Wikipedia counts 41 home sites and a 2020 population of 84. A private golf course fills the middle of the island, and the homes line the shore around it. The village has its own police force, and cars reach it by one guarded bridge from Surfside. Reporters call it the "Billionaire Bunker" for a reason: it is about as private as a neighborhood in a major city can be.
The family's move there came in two steps. In December 2020, The Real Deal reported that a company tied to Julio Iglesias sold a 1.8-acre vacant lot on the island's west side for $32.2 million. The buyer was an offshore entity, and Page Six had already reported that Trump and Kushner were the buyers. Then in April 2021, The Real Deal reported that the couple paid $24 million for a finished house on a different lot on the island.
Pure Equity does not publish private addresses, so this post stops at the island. You can see the wider area on our Indian Creek page and the Miami-Dade County page.
Inside the reported Indian Creek house
The $24 million house was the one they chose to live in. Loveproperty, citing the 2021 listing, described an 8,510-square-foot home on 1.26 acres, built in 1994, with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The listing called it the finest move-in-ready home on the island at the time. Its foyer had a 26-foot domed ceiling with a crystal chandelier. The plan included a screening room, a wood-paneled office, and a gym.
They did not move in as it stood. Renovation plans filed with Miami-Dade County, as summarized by Loveproperty, called for a resurfaced exterior, black window frames and formal gardens. They also included a new waterfront cabana with a sauna, steam room, plunge pool, gym, and outdoor shower. Hola reported in November 2023 that the work was finished. That report described six bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, a sun deck, a pool, a spa cabana, and a bridge to a private dock on the bay.
During the two years of work, the family rented in Surfside. Commercial Observer reported that they took a unit at Arte, a boutique condo building by developer Alex Sapir near the beach. So for most of 2021 through 2023, the honest answer to "where does she live" was a rental a few blocks from the bridge.
Why Ivanka Trump chose Indian Creek
The couple has not given a public interview about the choice. The reported reasons are ordinary ones. Page Six, cited by The Real Deal, said the family was looking at private schools in the area for their three children before the move. The island's security is the other obvious factor. Fortune described police patrols by land and sea around the clock, a guarded bridge, and landscaping planted to block sightlines from the water.
Timing also played a part. The lot closed on December 17, 2020, and the family left Washington the following month. A purchase that large, that fast, reads as a decision made well ahead of the move. Both parents have family nearby too. Her father's Palm Beach club is about an hour north, and his family's company has projects in South Florida.
The vacant lot next to the water
The 1.8-acre lot is the piece people forget. It was part of the assemblage Julio Iglesias had listed for $150 million in 2017. He later relisted the single parcel at $31.8 million. The Real Deal reported the sale at $32.2 million, or roughly $400,000 over the asking price. In the coverage we found, no plans for a house on that lot have been filed or reported. It remains, as far as public reporting shows, an empty waterfront parcel next to some of the priciest homes in Florida.
Where else does Ivanka Trump live?
Before Florida, the family lived in Washington, D.C., from 2017 to January 2021, and before that in Manhattan. Reporting during the move to Miami said the Washington house was a rental. No current home outside Florida has been reported since 2021, so Indian Creek is the primary residence by every account we found. Weekends and holidays in Palm Beach come up often in coverage, but those are visits, not a second home in her name.
What homes near Ivanka Trump cost
Indian Creek has no ordinary market. Our MLS feed as of September 2026 shows zero active listings on the island. Sales there happen off market, and Fortune reported that prices start around $60 million. The island's country club charges a reported $500,000 initiation fee, and membership is by invitation.
Across the bridge, Surfside shows about 129 active listings with a median asking price near $1.1 million and about 188 days on market. Bal Harbour, one town north, shows about 155 listings and a median near $2.7 million. Bayfront houses in either town sit well above those medians. For the mainland version of island privacy, see our gated communities and waterfront homes pages.
Two other islands give a better sense of scale. Key Biscayne, south of Miami Beach, shows about 178 active listings in our feed, with a median near $2.48 million and about 115 days on market. Golden Beach, a small oceanfront town at the north end of the county, shows about 28 listings and a median near $21.9 million. Indian Creek sits above even that. So an owner in Surfside or Bal Harbour should not price off the island. The useful comparison is the nearest bayfront street with a recent closed sale, and that is what a local agent will pull.
