Tim Tebow lives in Jacksonville, Florida, in Glen Kernan Golf and Country Club, where he paid $2.99 million in 2019 for an 8,300-square-foot home on 1.5 acres. Here is what reporting says about the house, the smaller Glen Kernan home he bought in 2014, why he never left Jacksonville, and what a comparable golf estate costs in South Florida.

Where does Tim Tebow live? The Heisman Trophy winner and broadcaster lives in Jacksonville, Florida, inside Glen Kernan Golf and Country Club. It is a gated golf community on the city's south side. He paid $2.99 million in 2019 for a five-bedroom home of nearly 8,300 square feet, his second house in the same community. He lives there with his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow, the former Miss Universe. Here is what public reporting says about the home and why Jacksonville has always been the answer.

Key takeaways

  • Tebow lives in Glen Kernan Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, in Duval County on Florida's northeast coast.
  • He paid $2.99 million in July 2019 for a 2016-built home on 1.49 acres, per News4Jax.
  • The house has five bedrooms, a wine room, a theater and a saltwater pool, plus a five-car garage.
  • He bought a smaller Glen Kernan home for $1.4 million in 2014, which was still in his name at the time of the 2019 purchase.

Where does Tim Tebow live in Florida?

Tebow lives in Jacksonville, the largest city by area in the continental United States and the place where he grew up. Glen Kernan Golf and Country Club sits on the Southside, east of the St. Johns River and west of the beaches, in a stretch of gated golf communities built out in the 1990s and 2000s. Jacksonville is on the northeast coast, about 300 miles from the counties Pure Equity serves. We cover it because the search interest is real.

News4Jax, the local NBC affiliate, has followed Tebow's real estate for a decade. In July 2019 it reported that he had bought his second home in Glen Kernan. CNBC ran listing photos of the house later that month. Pure Equity does not publish private addresses, so the community name is as specific as this post gets.

Glen Kernan is a private club community with a golf course, a clubhouse and about 300 homes on large lots. Its residents have included Jaguars players and executives. That fits Tebow, who was born to Jacksonville missionaries and played at Nease High School in nearby St. Johns County. He even signed with the Jaguars as a tight end in 2021.

Inside the reported Glen Kernan home

News4Jax reported the purchase price as $2.99 million, with a mortgage of almost $2.4 million. That is unusual detail for a celebrity deal. The house dates to 2016 and runs nearly 8,300 square feet on 1.49 acres. It has five bedrooms, a wine room, a home theater, a saltwater pool and a five-car garage. CNBC's photo tour showed a two-story great room, a large covered lanai and a kitchen that opens to the pool.

The first Glen Kernan house was smaller. Tebow bought it in 2014 for about $1.4 million, according to reports at the time. He was then between his NFL career and his run at professional baseball with the New York Mets organization. News4Jax noted in 2019 that the earlier home was still listed in his name with the Duval County Property Appraiser. Whether he has since sold it has not been widely reported. Holding two homes in one club community is common for owners who want a place for visiting family, and Tebow has a large one.

The 2019 house was, in effect, a wedding home. Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters married in January 2020 in South Africa, six months after the purchase, and the couple settled in Jacksonville with their dogs. Demi-Leigh has said in interviews that she moved from Cape Town to Florida for the marriage. The couple runs its foundation work and speaking schedules from the city.

Why Tim Tebow chose Jacksonville

He never really left. Tebow was born in the Philippines to missionary parents from Jacksonville, and the family returned to a farm outside the city when he was a child. He was homeschooled, played football at Nease in Ponte Vedra, and went on to Florida, where he won the Heisman in 2007 and two national championships. Every stop in his pro career, from Denver to New York to Philadelphia, ended with a return to Jacksonville.

Family is the main reason. His parents and siblings still live in the area, and the Tim Tebow Foundation is headquartered in Jacksonville. Its Night to Shine prom for people with special needs, now held in hundreds of churches worldwide, started there. His work as an SEC Network analyst is based in Charlotte during the season, but that is a commute rather than a move.

The Jaguars signing in 2021, though it lasted only a preseason, made the connection official. He had said for years that Jacksonville was home, and the team gave him the chance to play there, however briefly. He has since stayed on as a broadcaster and speaker, and there has been no report of a move.

Where else does Tim Tebow live?

Reporting does not describe a second home. Tebow spent his NFL years in Denver, New Jersey and Philadelphia, and his baseball years in the Mets' minor league towns. None of those produced a reported property he still holds. Demi-Leigh grew up in Sedgefield, South Africa, and the couple visits her family there, but no home has been reported.

That makes Tebow one of the simpler cases on this site. One city, one gated community, two houses in it, and no listing or sale since 2019. If that changes, News4Jax will almost certainly be the outlet that reports it first.

What homes near Tim Tebow cost

Jacksonville is outside Pure Equity's service area. The closest South Florida equivalent to a large newer home in a gated golf club community is Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, where estate homes of similar size sit on the golf course. Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton is the other obvious match. Both draw athletes and broadcasters for the same reasons Glen Kernan does: privacy, a club and a short drive to an airport.

Our MLS feed as of September 2026 shows about 760 active listings in Palm Beach Gardens. The median list price is near $898,000, and homes average about 107 days on market. Homes inside Mirasol run above that citywide median. Our golf and country club homes page filters the county down to club communities, and the Palm Beach County page carries the county view.

For Jacksonville itself, our Duval County page pulls live listings and market stats for the whole city. It is a data page rather than a service area, but the numbers update nightly. Jacksonville remains one of the more affordable big-city markets in Florida, which is why a home like Tebow's cost under $3 million there.
