Where Does Nicky Jam Live in Florida? His Edgewater Condo and Palm Island Past

September 21, 2026 · 8 min read · By Onias Derilus, Broker

Nicky Jam lives in Miami, most recently in a bayfront condo at the Elysee tower in Edgewater that he bought for $4.1 million in 2024 and listed a year later. Before that he owned a Palm Island house in Miami Beach that he sold at a loss. This post covers both homes, his Medellin years, and what condos and islands near him cost now.

Where does Nicky Jam live? In Miami, in a high floor condo at the Elysee tower in Edgewater, on the bay just north of downtown. He bought it in March 2024 for $4.1 million. In July 2025 he put it back on the market at $4.35 million, so his next address may already be in the works. Before the condo he owned a house on Palm Island in Miami Beach, which he sold at a loss in early 2021. Here is what public reporting says about both homes and the market around them.

Key takeaways

  • Edgewater, Miami: a three bedroom condo at the Elysee tower with bay views, bought in March 2024, per the New York Post and Miami Herald.
  • Paid $4.1 million and listed at $4.35 million about a year later, in July 2025.
  • Sold a Palm Island house for $3.1 million in 2021 after buying it for $3.4 million in 2018, a loss of about $300,000, per Cuba en Miami and Hola.
  • City of Miami median list price is about $640,000 across more than 11,000 listings, per our MLS feed as of September 2026.

Where does Nicky Jam live in Florida?

Edgewater, on the Miami side of Biscayne Bay. The neighborhood runs along the water between downtown and the Design District, and over the past decade it has filled with glass condo towers. The Elysee is one of the newer ones. It is a 57 story building finished in 2021, designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by Jean-Louis Deniot. It has a lap pool, a wellness floor, a bayfront lounge and an outdoor kitchen terrace, according to the listing coverage.

Nicky Jam, born Nick Rivera Caminero in Boston and raised in Puerto Rico, closed on his unit in March 2024. The Miami Herald covered the purchase, and the New York Post reported the July 2025 listing. Pure Equity does not publish private addresses or unit numbers, so we name the building and the neighborhood only. Current inventory for the area is on our Miami page and, for towers like this one, our condos hub.

The condo marks a change of style for him. His previous Miami home was a house on an island in Miami Beach, which is the more typical choice for reggaeton stars. Our South Florida celebrity roundup lists several who went that route.

Inside the reported Edgewater condo

The unit is about 3,100 square feet inside, with a terrace of more than 1,100 square feet, per the New York Post. It has three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. A private elevator foyer opens to floor to ceiling glass facing the bay and the skyline. The building's amenities do the rest: the pool, the gym floor, the lounge on the water and valet parking.

The numbers on the deal are tight. He paid $4.1 million in March 2024. The July 2025 ask of $4.35 million is about six percent higher. After commissions and closing costs, that would be close to break even. That is a fair read on the Miami condo market in 2025. New towers kept opening, and resale prices in Edgewater flattened. Whether the unit has sold since was not reported in the coverage we found.

For buyers, the unit shows what $4 million buys in a new Edgewater tower. You get roughly 3,000 square feet, a bay view and a full amenity deck, without the land or the maintenance of a house. Our penthouses hub covers the tier above it.

Inside the reported Palm Island home

The house came first. In August 2018 The Real Deal reported that Nicky Jam bought a home on Palm Island for $3.4 million. Palm Island is one of the guarded islands off the MacArthur Causeway in Miami Beach. It had five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Palm Island sits next to Hibiscus Island and Star Island, and it is the largest of the three.

He listed it in late 2019, Hola reported, and it took more than a year to sell. Cuba en Miami reported in February 2021 that the buyer was Christian Iacovelli, the head of Rally Manufacturing, at $3.1 million. That is about $300,000 below what he paid, before costs. He had bought near the top of the 2018 market for that island. Then he sold during the pandemic, before Miami Beach island prices took off in late 2021.

The loss is a useful lesson. Palm Island homes on dry lots, like this one, trade very differently from the bayfront lots on the same island. Buyers who want the island name at a lower price get the address but not the appreciation of the waterfront. Neighboring Hibiscus Island shows the same split.

Why Nicky Jam chose Miami

Miami is where his career came back. After a rough stretch in Puerto Rico in the 2000s, he moved to Medellin, Colombia, around 2007 and rebuilt himself there over the next decade. Hits like Travesuras and El Perdon came out of that period. By 2018 he was one of the biggest names in reggaeton. Miami, the center of the Latin music business in the United States, was the natural next base. The Palm Island purchase came that year.

The city also fits his work. Labels, producers and the Latin awards circuit are all in Miami-Dade, and it is a direct flight to both San Juan and Medellin. Since 2018 his acting and television work has kept him in the area too. The move from a Miami Beach house to a downtown adjacent condo in 2024 suggests a simpler setup: one lock, one floor, and the bay from every window.

Where else does Nicky Jam live?

Medellin is the only other city with a reported home. He lived there for about a decade and has said in interviews that it is where he got clean and restarted his career. Colombian media have described a house there, though no price or neighborhood has been reported in outlets we would rely on. Puerto Rico, where he grew up, has not had a reported purchase.

So the honest split is Miami as the home and Medellin as the second city. He has not reported a home in Los Angeles or New York. If the Elysee unit sells, expect the next purchase to be in Miami-Dade as well.

What homes near Nicky Jam cost

Edgewater is a condo market. The City of Miami had more than 11,000 active listings in our MLS feed as of September 2026, a median list price of about $640,000 and an average of about 131 days on market. Most of those listings are condos. Edgewater towers like the Elysee sit well above the median, with three bedroom bay view units running from about $2 million into the high single digits.

Palm Island is a different world. Homes on the island's bayfront lots have sold in the tens of millions. Dry lot houses like his old one trade in the low to mid single digit millions. Miami Beach as a whole showed about 2,500 listings and a median near $650,000 in our feed, with an average of 161 days on market. Our waterfront homes hub filters the island tier.

Sellers of both types should note the timelines in his story. The Palm Island house took over a year to sell. The condo had been listed for months at last report. County figures are on our Miami-Dade County page.
