Where Does Maluma Live in Florida? Inside His Sunny Isles Beach Condo

September 21, 2026 · 8 min read · By Onias Derilus, Broker

Maluma splits time between a hillside home near Medellin and a reported apartment in the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach. Here is what reporting actually says about both, and what condos in that stretch of Miami-Dade sell for now.

Where does Maluma live? Most of the year he lives in a hillside home outside Medellin, Colombia. His Florida base is an apartment in the Porsche Design Tower, a 60-story condo on the sand in Sunny Isles Beach, north of Miami. Two Latin American newspapers, La Nacion and El Tiempo, report that he owns a unit there. Here is what reporting says about both homes, and what a condo in that part of Miami-Dade costs today.

Key takeaways

  • Sunny Isles Beach, Porsche Design Tower: the singer's reported Miami apartment, per La Nacion and El Tiempo.
  • Price not reported: neither paper gives a purchase price, a year, or a floor for the unit.
  • Car elevator and 132 units: the tower lifts residents and their cars up to a private garage beside each apartment.
  • Primary home is in Colombia: a glass-walled house in the hills near Medellin, shown in Hola and on Architectural Digest's Open Door series.

Where does Maluma live in Florida?

Maluma (Juan Luis Londono Arias) keeps his Florida home in Sunny Isles Beach. It is a small city on a barrier island in northeast Miami-Dade County, wedged between Bal Harbour to the south and Golden Beach to the north. Almost all of its housing is in high-rise towers along Collins Avenue, with the Atlantic on one side and the Intracoastal on the other.

The building in question is the Porsche Design Tower. La Nacion, the Argentine daily, reported in December 2024 that Lionel Messi, Maluma and Thalia all have apartments there. El Tiempo in Colombia added Anuel AA to that list. So the singer's neighbors are, in part, his own friends and collaborators.

Sunny Isles has drawn buyers from Latin America for decades, and the newer towers there sell to that market first. That is the pattern Maluma fits. He did not buy a house with a yard; he bought into a beachfront tower where a doorman, a garage and a gym come with the keys. Pure Equity does not publish private addresses, so this post names the building and nothing more specific.

You can see what is on the market on our Sunny Isles Beach page, and read about the wider county on the Miami-Dade County page.

Inside the reported Sunny Isles Beach apartment

Neither newspaper reports which unit Maluma owns, how big it is, or what he paid. So the details below describe the building, not his specific apartment.

The Porsche Design Tower rises 60 stories and holds 132 residences, according to both La Nacion and El Tiempo. Its signature feature is a car elevator, which the developer calls the Dezervator. Residents drive into it, ride up with the car, and park in a private garage next to their own front door. Because of that, the tower has far more parking spaces than units.

El Tiempo describes terraces of 100 to 150 square meters (roughly 1,075 to 1,600 square feet), many with a private pool and a grill. La Nacion lists a private cinema, golf and racing simulators, a residents' restaurant, an outdoor lounge, valet and on-site car care. Each apartment, it adds, has a summer kitchen and a fireplace.

As for price, the only figure either paper gives is for rent. El Tiempo says a unit in the tower rents for about $30,000 a month. Purchase prices for the singer's unit are not public, and we will not guess at them.

One more Miami condo shows up in searches about Maluma, and it is worth clearing up. Robb Report covered a 1,800-square-foot unit at Ten Museum Park in downtown Miami that appeared in his "Coco Loco" video. It later listed for $2.5 million. He never lived there; it was a film location.

Why Miami works for Maluma

Miami is the business capital of Latin music. The big Spanish-language labels, the TV networks, the managers and the tour promoters all sit within a short drive of Sunny Isles. For an artist who records in Spanish and tours the Americas, a home near that machine saves weeks of travel every year.

The friend group matters too. Messi, Thalia and Anuel AA in the same building is no accident. Latin artists and athletes have clustered in the same handful of Sunny Isles and Bal Harbour towers, and each new buyer tends to follow the last one.

There is also the simple fact of the flight. Medellin to Miami is under four hours nonstop. That makes a Florida condo a practical second base rather than a distant vacation home, and it explains why so many Colombian artists keep one.

Where else does Maluma live?

His main home is in Colombia. Hola reported in May 2020 that he had lived for three years in a house in the hills outside Medellin, which puts the move at about 2017. Bloomberg Linea places it in Llanogrande, on the outskirts of the city. Architectural Digest filmed a tour of it for its Open Door series.

The house has high ceilings, glass walls on the view side, and terraces that look out over the countryside. Hola describes an art collection, a private theater with a star-lit ceiling, an outdoor pool, a gym and a personal elevator. He has said the view is what inspires him there. Neither Hola nor AD gives a price or a square footage.

So the split is clear. Colombia is where he lives full time. Florida is the working base, close to the studios and the airport, with a beach at the bottom of the elevator.

What homes near Maluma cost

Sunny Isles Beach is a condo market first. Our MLS feed as of September 2026 shows about 1,340 active listings in the city, with a median list price near $726,000 and an average of about 185 days on market. That median covers everything from older mid-rise units to new oceanfront towers, so the spread is wide.

The towers Maluma's neighbors live in sit at the top of that range. Buyers who want that tier usually shop the oceanfront condo and penthouse segments directly rather than the citywide list. Two of the city's other tower communities have their own pages here: Trump Royale and Trump Palace.

The neighboring towns show how much a few blocks change the price. Bal Harbour, just south, has about 155 listings at a median near $2.7 million. Golden Beach, the single-family enclave to the north, has about 28 listings at a median near $21.9 million. Across the causeway, Aventura has about 1,490 listings at a median near $464,000.

For owners in the city, the 185-day average matters more than the median. Condos here sell to a specific buyer, and that buyer is often shopping from abroad. Pricing to the last comparable sale in your own building, and photographing the view rather than the kitchen, is what shortens that wait.

One practical note for anyone shopping the beachfront towers. La Nacion reported that a University of Miami study found the Porsche tower among 35 coastal buildings showing settlement of up to 7.6 centimeters between 2016 and 2023. The geophysicist who led the study said nearly all buildings on that coast are settling to some degree. It is a reason to read the milestone inspection report and the reserve study before you make an offer, in any tower.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Maluma live now?

He lives mainly in a house in the hills outside Medellin, Colombia. In Florida, La Nacion and El Tiempo report that he owns an apartment in the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach.

Where in Sunny Isles Beach does Maluma live?

The reported building is the Porsche Design Tower on Collins Avenue, the 60-story tower with the car elevator. Which floor or unit he owns has not appeared in any reporting we could find, and we do not publish addresses.

Where does Maluma live full time?

Colombia. Hola and Architectural Digest both covered his Medellin-area house as his main home. The Sunny Isles apartment is a second base for work in Miami.

How much did Maluma pay for the Miami apartment?

Nobody has reported a price. The only figure in print is El Tiempo's note that units in the building rent for about $30,000 a month. Because the tower has only 132 units, comparable sales are few, and any estimate you see online is a guess.

Can you buy a condo in the Porsche Design Tower?

Yes. It is a regular condominium with 132 units, and resales come up from time to time. Expect to work with an agent who knows the building's rules, its reserve position and its inspection history before you write an offer.

Is Sunny Isles Beach part of Miami?

It is its own city inside Miami-Dade County, about 20 minutes north of downtown Miami. People call the whole area Miami, but Sunny Isles has its own city hall, its own zoning and its own condo-heavy market.
