Where Does Camila Cabello Live in Florida? Her Miami Hometown Base

September 21, 2026 · 8 min read · By Onias Derilus, Broker

Camila Cabello grew up in Miami after arriving from Cuba as a child, and she has said she moved back to the city to make her 2024 album. Her only documented home sale is in Los Angeles, where she sold a Hollywood Hills house for $4.3 million. This post covers what is reported about her Miami base, the LA house, and what Miami homes cost now.

Where does Camila Cabello live? In Miami, by her own account. She grew up in the city after her family arrived from Cuba when she was a small child. In 2024 she told Miami New Times she had spent the past year living at home there to record her album. What the public record does not include is a Miami purchase. Her one documented home deal is in Los Angeles, a Hollywood Hills house she bought in 2019 and sold in 2022. Here is what reporting says, and what it leaves out.

Key takeaways

  • Miami is the reported home base: she grew up there and said in 2024 she had moved back to record, per Miami New Times.
  • No Miami purchase has been reported; no outlet has published a price, a neighborhood or a date.
  • Sold a Hollywood Hills house for $4.3 million in 2022, bought for $3.4 million in 2019, per Forbes and the Los Angeles Times.
  • City of Miami median list price is about $640,000 across more than 11,000 listings, per our MLS feed as of September 2026.

Where does Camila Cabello live in Florida?

Miami, without a documented address. Cabello was born in Cojimar, Cuba, in 1997 and came to Miami around age five. She went to school in the southern suburbs of Miami-Dade and left for Los Angeles as a teenager when Fifth Harmony took off. For most of the late 2010s she split time between Los Angeles and Miami. Even while she owned the Hollywood Hills house, reporting noted that she spent most of her time in Miami.

In 2024 she made the Miami base explicit. Promoting her album C,XOXO, she told Miami New Times she had been home in Miami for the past year and recorded the record there. The album leans on Miami sounds and Miami references. She also headlined a hometown show at the Kaseya Center that December. So the city is the answer, even though no outlet has reported which house or which neighborhood.

Pure Equity does not publish private addresses, and in this case none has been reported. For the market she came home to, see our Miami page. She joins a long list of Cuban American artists based in the city; our South Florida celebrity roundup and our post on where Pitbull lives cover several.

Inside the reported Hollywood Hills home

The one property with a full paper trail is in Los Angeles. Forbes reported that Cabello bought a house in the Hollywood Hills in April 2019 for $3.4 million. It was a Mediterranean style villa of about 3,579 square feet. There were four bedrooms and four bathrooms over three floors, plus a pool and a view. She turned one of the guest bedrooms into a recording studio.

She listed it in November 2021 at $3.95 million, Forbes reported. The house had been burglarized earlier that year while she was away, which several outlets tied to the decision to sell. The Los Angeles Times reported that a buyer appeared within two weeks and paid $4.3 million, about $350,000 over the ask. That is a gain of roughly $900,000 in three years before costs.

The sale left her with no reported home in California. Since then, coverage has placed her in Miami. If she has bought there, the deal has not surfaced in The Real Deal, the Miami Herald or Mansion Global. Those outlets usually catch celebrity purchases in Miami-Dade within months.

Why Camila Cabello chose Miami

The reason is the one she gives herself: it is home. Her family settled in Miami when she was a child, and her parents still live in the area. In interviews around C,XOXO she described the album as a return to the city that shaped her. The credits include Miami producers and references to the neighborhoods she grew up around. Coming back to record was as much a personal decision as a creative one.

There are practical reasons too. Miami is the center of the Latin music business in the United States, which matters for an artist who records in both English and Spanish. It is also closer to family and further from the Los Angeles press than her old house was. The burglary in the Hollywood Hills, widely reported at the time, made privacy a bigger concern.

Where else does Camila Cabello live?

Nowhere with a reported purchase. Her time in Los Angeles ended with the 2022 sale, and no New York or overseas home has appeared in the press. During the pandemic she stayed for a stretch at the Hollywood Hills house with her then partner, Shawn Mendes. The two then went to Miami, according to Hola and other outlets. That is the last time reporting placed her in a specific home. Her tours since then, including the 2024 Yours, C dates, have kept her on the road for months at a time, which is another reason a fixed address has not surfaced.

In short, the record shows one former home in Los Angeles and a current base in Miami with no documented address. That is common for artists in their twenties. Many rent, live with family or hold property through a trust that keeps their name off the deed. We will update this post if a reported purchase surfaces.

What homes near Camila Cabello cost

The City of Miami is big and its numbers reflect that. Our MLS feed as of September 2026 showed more than 11,000 active listings, a median list price of about $640,000 and an average of roughly 131 days on market. The median is a condo number. Single family neighborhoods where musicians tend to buy sit higher.

The southern suburbs where she grew up are a different market from the celebrity enclaves. Pinecrest and Palmetto Bay offer big lots south of Coral Gables, with medians near $5.1 million and $1.36 million in our feed. Artists who want water or a gate look to Coral Gables, at about $2 million, or the islands of Miami Beach. Both have drawn a steady run of musicians and athletes over the past decade, and both keep listings scarce. Our luxury homes hub sorts the top tier across all of them.

For sellers, the mainland has moved faster than the beach. The city of Miami averaged about four months on market in our feed, compared with more than five in Miami Beach. Countywide figures are on our Miami-Dade County page.

One more note for owners in her old part of the county. The South Dade suburbs have gained buyers priced out of the Gables and the Grove, and a well kept house on a quarter acre there now draws multiple offers in a normal month. If you have owned since before 2020, the equity gain is likely larger than you think. A listing agent who works Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay and the Kendall corridor can pull the recent comps and show you the number before you decide anything.
