September 21, 2026 · 8 min read · By Onias Derilus, Broker
David Beckham's Miami home was a full-floor penthouse at One Thousand Museum, the Zaha Hadid tower downtown, which he bought in 2020 for about $19.8 million and sold in 2025 for about $25 million. His main homes are in London and the Cotswolds. Here is what was reported and what downtown Miami condos cost.
Where does David Beckham live? The former England captain and Inter Miami co-owner split his time between London, the Cotswolds and Miami for most of the past decade. His Miami home was a full-floor penthouse at One Thousand Museum, the Zaha Hadid tower on Biscayne Boulevard downtown. He bought it in 2020 for about $19.8 million and sold it off-market in late 2025 for about $25 million. No replacement Miami home has been reported, so the honest answer is that his primary homes are in England and his Florida base is now unknown. Here is what reporting says.
Key takeaways
- Downtown Miami, Miami-Dade County: a penthouse at One Thousand Museum, a 62-story tower with only 84 residences and a rooftop helipad.
- Reported prices: about $19.8 million at purchase in 2020, and $24.6 million to $25 million at the 2025 sale, per Robb Report and Miami Condo Investments.
- Reported size: about 9,200 square feet with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a gym, a home theater and a large terrace.
- Market near it: the city of Miami has about 11,314 active listings with a median asking price near $639,000, per our MLS feed.
Where does David Beckham live in Florida?
For five years the answer was easy. One Thousand Museum sits on Biscayne Boulevard across from Museum Park, between the Perez Art Museum and the arena where the Miami Heat play. Zaha Hadid designed it, and it was her last building before her death in 2016. A concrete exoskeleton wraps the outside, which is why locals call it the Scorpion Tower. The building has a rooftop helipad, a sky lounge, a spa and a lap pool on the 61st floor.
Beckham and his wife, Victoria, bought a full-floor penthouse there in April 2020, as Inter Miami played its first season. Hypebeast and Livingetc reported the price at about $19.8 million. The unit was brand new. It gave him a base a short drive from the team's temporary stadium in Fort Lauderdale and from the site of the permanent one near Miami International Airport. Inside the reported One Thousand Museum penthouse
Reports describe a unit of about 9,200 square feet that takes up an entire floor near the top of the tower. It has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, a private gym, a home theater and a terrace of roughly 1,000 square feet with views over Biscayne Bay and the city. Owners in the building share the helipad, a bank vault, a private cinema and an off-site beach club. Livingetc ran photos of the interior after the purchase.
Full-floor units are rare in Miami, even in new towers. Most buildings split each floor into two or four homes to spread the cost. One Thousand Museum was built with a handful of full-floor penthouses near the top, and the Beckhams took one of them while the tower was still selling out. That matters for resale. A buyer who wants a whole floor in a Zaha Hadid building has almost nowhere else to look, which is part of why the unit sold quickly and off-market rather than sitting on the MLS for months.
The sale came in late 2025. Robb Report and AOL reported that the Beckhams sold the penthouse for about $25 million. Miami Condo Investments put the closing at $24.6 million, or about $2,674 per square foot, and said the deal closed off-market in September. Either figure means a profit of roughly $5 million on a five-year hold. The buyer was not named. Pure Equity does not publish unit numbers, so we name the building only.
Why David Beckham chose Miami
Football, in the American sense of a franchise. Beckham's 2007 contract with the LA Galaxy included an option to buy an MLS expansion team at a fixed price. He exercised it in 2014 and picked Miami. It took until 2020 to get the club on the field and until 2026 to open its own stadium, Miami Freedom Park, next to the airport. Through all of that he needed somewhere to stay when he was in town, and a downtown penthouse fit a schedule built around matches and meetings.
Miami also matched the brand. Beckham has said in interviews that he loved the city's mix of Latin American culture and its energy, and that he wanted the club to reflect that. Signing Lionel Messi in 2023 turned Inter Miami into a global draw and made his own presence in the city more visible. Still, his family life stayed in England, where his younger children went to school.
The stadium timeline shaped his Miami years more than anything else. Inter Miami played at a temporary ground in Fort Lauderdale from 2020, and the club fought for years over the site of Miami Freedom Park before ground broke. A penthouse ten minutes from both the arena district and the airport made sense for a part-time owner. Once the permanent stadium was set and Messi's arrival made the club a business in its own right, the need for a personal base downtown may have eased. Beckham has not said why he sold.
Where else does David Beckham live?
England is home. The family's main house is in Holland Park in west London, a large Victorian home they bought in 2013, per British press reports. They also own a converted farmhouse in the Cotswolds, near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, bought in 2016, where Beckham keeps bees and chickens and has filmed much of his social media. The couple have also owned homes in Beverly Hills and in the French countryside in the past, both since sold.
Where does David Beckham live when he is in Miami now? Reports do not say. He may rent, stay in a hotel, or use a home owned by a company that has not been tied to him in public records. What is clear is that the sale did not mean a break with the city. He remains co-owner and president of Inter Miami, and the new stadium keeps him coming back.
