Where Does Floyd Mayweather Live in Florida? His Miami Beach Homes

September 21, 2026 · 8 min read · By Onias Derilus, Broker

Floyd Mayweather has treated Miami Beach as a trading market more than a hometown. He bought a Palm Island estate for $18 million in 2021 and sold it for $22 million in 2024, and earlier homes on La Gorce Island and Pine Tree Drive came and went the same way. Las Vegas remains his base. Here is what public reporting says about each property and what the islands cost today.

Where does Floyd Mayweather live? His home base is Las Vegas, where he has trained and lived since the 1990s. In Florida he has been a buyer and a seller rather than a settled resident. The biggest deal was a Palm Island estate in Miami Beach. He bought it for $18 million in 2021 and sold it for $22 million in November 2024, per The Real Deal. Earlier Miami Beach houses came and went the same way. Here is the record.

Key takeaways

  • Palm Island, Miami Beach: a waterfront estate bought in 2021 and sold in November 2024, per The Real Deal.
  • $18 million in, $22 million out: the 2024 buyer resold it in July 2026 for $18.5 million, a $3.5 million loss, per Yahoo Sports.
  • About 10,800 square feet on a third of an acre, built in 2011, with a dock, theater, gym and room for ten cars.
  • Miami Beach median list price is about $650,000 across roughly 2,500 listings, per our MLS feed as of September 2026; the island estates trade far above that.

Where does Floyd Mayweather live in Florida?

As of this writing, reporting does not tie him to a Florida home he still owns. The Miami Beach properties in the public record have all sold. The best known was on Palm Island, one of the man-made islands along the MacArthur Causeway between downtown Miami and South Beach. Palm Island has a single guarded entrance, a park in the middle and waterfront lots on all sides. Its neighbors are Hibiscus Island and Star Island, and the three share a buyer pool of athletes, developers and entertainers.

Before Palm Island there were two other Miami Beach houses. Miami New Times reported that he paid $7.7 million in cash for a newly built home on La Gorce Island. That is a gated island off the Mid-Beach neighborhood. Yahoo Sports later noted a waterfront home on Pine Tree Drive that he sold in 2020 for about $6.3 million, below what he paid. You can see current listings on our Miami Beach page and the nearby Hibiscus Island and La Gorce community pages.

Pure Equity does not publish private addresses. The Palm Island sale was reported with its street, and we leave that out.

Inside the reported Palm Island estate

Per The Real Deal, he paid $18 million in 2021. The house dates to 2011 and sits on roughly a third of an acre of bayfront. Outlets differ slightly on the bedroom count. The Real Deal said eight bedrooms and nine and a half baths. Miami New Times counted nine bedrooms and ten and a half baths. The size is reported at 10,818 square feet.

The features read like a boxer's wish list. There is an indoor movie theater, a gym, a pool, an elevator and a game room. The driveway and four garages hold about ten cars, which mattered to an owner known for his collection. A private dock faces Biscayne Bay.

In November 2024 he sold to an LLC tied to Josh Gotlib of Black Spruce Management for $22 million, per The Real Deal. That was a $4 million gain in three years. Gotlib did not hold it long. In July 2026 the house resold for $18.5 million, per Yahoo Sports and The Real Deal, so the second owner lost $3.5 million. That swing says a lot about the island market: prices for big Miami Beach estates peaked in 2024 and have softened since.

Why Floyd Mayweather chose Miami Beach

The reported reasons are business and lifestyle rather than family ties. He has said for years that he wants to be known as a real estate investor, and Miami has been one of his markets. In November 2024 The Real Deal reported he was buying a stake in the former Versace mansion on Ocean Drive, the Casa Casuarina hotel. Around the same time, AOL and others covered his claims of a large residential portfolio in New York.

Miami also fits the way he lives. He spends time in South Beach clubs, hosts events there and has friends across the music and sports world who own on the islands. A waterfront house with room for ten cars is a place to entertain, and the resale gain suggests he treated it as an asset too. When the 2024 sale closed, he was in the middle of listing other homes as well.

One caution from the reporting. In 2026 he sued a former adviser, Jona Rechnitz, alleging a $175 million fraud tied to real estate and luxury deals, per Yahoo Sports and Complex. That suit does not involve the Palm Island house directly, but it explains why his property moves drew so much attention that year.

Where else does Floyd Mayweather live?

Las Vegas is the primary home and always has been. He moved there as a young pro, opened the Mayweather Boxing Club and built his life around the city. Reporting in late 2024 said he listed one Las Vegas mansion for $12.5 million. But he has owned several homes there, and the city remains his base.

Beyond that, he has cycled through trophy homes the way he cycled through Miami Beach. He owned a Beverly Hills mansion that later came back on the market at $32 million less than a year after he sold it, per AOL. Sports Illustrated reported a New York City rental at about $100,000 a month. Sportskeeda has described a penthouse at a Sunny Isles Beach tower, though we could not confirm that with a primary outlet. In short, he is a Las Vegas resident who buys and sells in other cities.

What homes near Floyd Mayweather cost

The Palm Island numbers above are the best guide to that island: $18 million to $22 million for a 10,000-square-foot bayfront house. Miami Beach as a whole is a different market. Our MLS feed as of September 2026 shows about 2,500 active listings in the city. The median list price is near $650,000, and homes average about 161 days on market. That median is low because most listings are condos in Mid-Beach and South Beach, not island estates.

The gated islands are a thin slice of that inventory. Palm, Hibiscus, Star and La Gorce together list only a handful of houses at a time, and most start above $10 million. If you are shopping at that level, our luxury homes hub and waterfront homes page pull the current island listings together. The Miami-Dade County page covers the wider market, and Sunny Isles Beach is where the big oceanfront towers are.

For owners, the Gotlib resale is the lesson. A house that gained $4 million from 2021 to 2024 gave back $3.5 million by 2026. Island prices move fast in both directions, and the right listing date matters as much as the house.
