About Westlake
Westlake is Palm Beach County's newest incorporated city and the only city in the continental United States developed from the ground up by a single private builder. On roughly 4,000 acres of western Palm Beach County, Minto Communities planned the streets, the parks, the schools zoning, the fire station, and the resort-style Adventure Park before the first families moved in. It is the same master-planning blueprint Minto used to build Weston in Broward County in the 1980s, now one of the most desirable cities in South Florida.
Because Minto builds every home here, the community is organized around four home collections rather than a patchwork of builders. Location & Lifestyle
Westlake is in western Palm Beach County, off Seminole Pratt Whitney Road between Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens. The location is the classic western-suburb trade: you get more home, newer construction, and a master-planned setting for less than comparable homes near the coast, in exchange for a drive to the beach. The Atlantic beaches and downtown West Palm Beach are roughly a 25 to 35 minute drive, and Palm Beach International Airport is about 30 minutes away.
Day-to-day, Westlake leans on the wider western corridor for shopping, dining, and services, with more arriving inside the city as the town center is built out.
