Where Does Luke Donald Live in Florida? Inside His Jupiter Home

Where does Luke Donald live? The European Ryder Cup captain lives in Jupiter, Florida, on the golf-heavy north end of Palm Beach County. Local write-ups place his family home inside the Bear's Club. That is the gated Jack Nicklaus community that also counts Michael Jordan and Rory McIlroy as residents. Here is what public reporting says about the house, the town, and what homes near it sell for today. Pure Equity does not publish private addresses.

Key takeaways

• Jupiter, Florida is home, and local write-ups place the house in the Bear's Club.
• No purchase price has appeared in a major outlet, so we do not quote one.
• Jupiter Magazine reported in 2024 that he lives there with his wife and three daughters.
• Jupiter homes list at a median of about $875,000 as of September 2026, though golf-club estates run far higher.

Where does Luke Donald live in Florida?

Donald lives in Jupiter, the town at the top of Palm Beach County that has become the home base for much of professional golf. Golf365 listed him among the tour players who live there in August 2025. The piece asked why the pros cluster in one small town, and the reasons are simple. Winters are warm. The practice facilities are among the best anywhere. And a player can find a game with other elite players within minutes.

Jupiter sits where the Loxahatchee River meets the Atlantic at Jupiter Inlet. Palm Beach Gardens and its big country clubs lie just to the south. Jupiter Island, where Tiger Woods lives, is across the inlet to the north. The golf clubs themselves sit inland, west of the turnpike and Interstate 95, and that is where the Bear's Club is.

The community most often tied to his name is the Bear's Club. Jack Nicklaus founded it, and it sits behind a gate on the west side of town. Brokerage write-ups list Donald among its residents alongside Ernie Els and Michelle Wie West. We could not find a major news outlet that confirms the community, so treat that as reported rather than settled.

What is settled is the town. Jupiter Magazine interviewed him in April 2024. It described him spending time at home in Jupiter with his wife and three daughters between Ryder Cup duties. So the short answer is Jupiter, and the likely answer is the Bear's Club.

Inside the reported Bear's Club home

Here the honest answer is thin. Several celebrity-home sites publish bedroom counts and square footage for a house they attribute to Donald. None of those figures trace back to a newspaper, a property record we can cite, or a brokerage listing. We do not repeat them.

What we can say is what the Bear's Club is. It is a private golf community with a Nicklaus course, a clubhouse, and a small number of home sites compared with the big country clubs to the south. Golf365 called it a hub for players who want top practice facilities. It also noted that Nicklaus still mentors younger members. Homes there trade rarely, and when they do they tend to trade quietly.

That quiet is part of the appeal. A tour player can walk from the house to the range without a camera in sight. Neighbors are often other players, and a gate keeps the rest of the world at the road. If a sale involving Donald ever shows up in the Palm Beach Post or The Real Deal, we will update this page. Until then, the price, the size, and the year he bought are all unreported.

Why Luke Donald chose Jupiter

Donald has talked openly about what keeps him in town. Jupiter Magazine asked about his favorite local courses. He named the Palm Beach Par 3 and PGA National first. Then he added that the Bear's Club, McArthur Golf Club, and Grove XXIII are all "very special places." Grove XXIII is Michael Jordan's private course in Hobe Sound, so that answer tells you how small the circle is.

He is also an investor in 1000 North, a restaurant on the water in Jupiter, and the magazine described him as a regular there. The staff even built a Negroni around him after his time in Italy for the 2023 Ryder Cup.

Then there is the work itself. Europe won under him in Rome in 2023 and again at Bethpage Black in 2025. In March 2026 the PGA Tour reported he would return for a third term in 2027. Captaining means constant travel to Europe. A home near Palm Beach International Airport, with a dozen tour pros a short drive away, makes that job easier.

Where else does Luke Donald live?

Donald grew up in Hertfordshire, England, and went to college at Northwestern University outside Chicago. Jupiter Magazine has described the family splitting time between Jupiter and the north suburbs of Chicago. Florida is the golf base, and Illinois is the summer and family base.

The next Ryder Cup will be at Adare Manor in Ireland in 2027, so expect him to spend long stretches in Europe before then. Even so, nothing in public reporting suggests the family has moved its primary home away from Jupiter.

What homes near Luke Donald cost

Jupiter is a large market with a wide spread. Our MLS feed as of September 2026 shows about 729 active listings in Jupiter. The median list price is about $875,000, and the average listing has sat 116 days. That median covers everything from condos near the inlet to golf estates. So it says more about the town than about the Bear's Club.

Golf-club homes sit well above that figure. The clubs in Palm Beach Gardens next door show a median of about $898,000 across 762 listings, and again the club estates are the top slice. For a sense of the ceiling, Jupiter Island across the inlet had 14 active listings with a median near $19.7 million.

Buyers who want a course community without a tour pro's budget have options across Palm Beach County golf communities. The Palm Beach County page lists every city and club we track. Sellers inside a club like this should note the low volume. A few sales a year means each one sets the comp, and a well-timed listing can reset the ceiling for the whole street. That cuts both ways. A stale listing in a club with no other inventory has nothing to hide behind, so the first price needs to be right.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Luke Donald live now?

He lives in Jupiter, Florida, according to Jupiter Magazine and Golf365. Brokerage write-ups place the home inside the Bear's Club, but no major outlet has confirmed the community.

Where in Jupiter does Luke Donald live?

The Bear's Club is the community most often named. It is a gated Jack Nicklaus golf community on the west side of town. We do not publish street addresses, and none of the reporting we rely on does either.

Where does Luke Donald live full time?

Jupiter appears to be the primary home. The family spends time in the Chicago suburbs during the summer, and he spends long stretches in Europe around the Ryder Cup. No report describes the Florida house as a vacation home.

How much did Luke Donald pay for his Jupiter home?

The price was not reported. Figures on celebrity-home sites do not cite a source, so we leave them out.

Can you buy a home in the Bear's Club?

Yes, when one comes to market. Listings are rare, and the club has its own membership process. Most buyers work with an agent who knows the community. Our Bear's Club page shows current inventory when there is any.

Is the Bear's Club in Jupiter or Palm Beach Gardens?

It is in Jupiter, on the west side of town near the Abacoa area. Palm Beach Gardens starts a few minutes south, and its clubs such as Old Palm and PGA National draw a similar crowd. Many buyers shop both towns at once, since the drive between them is short and the golf is comparable.

Is Jupiter a good place to sell a golf home?

Demand from tour players and their circle keeps the top end active. The broader market is slower, though, with an average of 116 days on market in our feed. Pricing to the club's own recent comps matters more than pricing to the town median.
